I believe your conclusion doesn't have reasonble beasc facts, the classical books are a part of cultural and nation spirit of nations. In Italy or Greece people barely read Dantee books or Homer's masterpieces but any greek knows aout them, the same situation in Iran some people seel Hafez poems around the streets, in ghahvekhaneh used to and still somewhere you can hear about Shahnameh, Hafez, saadi and ferdowsi Tombs are most ttraction of tourism so this myths are alive between Iranian even more than every other country....so i believe you are reallt mistaken.
thanks
