I am Mahmud Farjami and this is my personal website, Debsh.com.
I started this blog back in 2004 and have been using it to write my ideas about everything since then. I am an Iranian writer, journalist, and translator, and my main interest is socio-political satire.
My friends say that I have a good sense of humor (and my enemies say I am a tasteless clown!). I have been publishing political satire and humorous essays in Persian print and online media for more than a decade, but, under increasing pressure, I had to leave Iran for good in 2010. Since then, I have lived in Malaysia, Turkey, and Belgium, for different lengths of time.
Although my works rarely get permission to be published in Iran, six books of mine (including two translations) have been published there and one of them has even been among the best sellers for over a year.
I travel a lot and love experiencing new places, foods, and cultures ... and of course meeting new people! This page is full of information about me and my career as a professional, including a brief biography and my CV.
From this page you can also send me private messages, which I will respond to as soon as possible, or access my Facebook page. By clicking on “Portfolio,” you can see some pictures of me as well as some of my works and a short description for each one (please wait briefly for all pics appear properly). Finally, there are two links for those who know Persian: one to my weblog in Persian, and the other to a Wikipedia page about me.
